Auris borealis
My daughter is about to get a company car to replace her beloved C4. She can have a Ford Focus 1.8D or a Toyota Auris 2.0D. Her company miles are around the A1, A10, M11 and M25. For private use she often drives 4 or 5 up for 40 miles or so. Which would be the best car for her?

The Focus is an excellent car, but the 1.8 diesel engine lets it down. In this case, better to buy British made and go for the Auris. Also has a comfortable ride and slightly more upright seating. Though the new 1.8 petrol Valvematic is a better engine than the 2.0 diesel.
