Some years ago your comments assisted my decision to buy a Berlingo in 2003. Subsequently, I upgraded to a C4 Picasso. I changed from the 2003 Berlingo Multispace after five years of good trouble-free motoring (and passed it on to my niece, who is equally
pleased) in November last year, purchasing a one year old C4 Picasso 5 seater, EGS, VTR+. I've happily got used to all but one of the differences and quirks and find the EGS fine for my style of motoring; I'm a total convert to the digital speedo and the electronic handbrake seems to be fine. However, the only thing I cannot get used to is the suspension. It's superb over good smooth tarmac, but compared to any other car I've ever driven (in 35 years of motoring), including hire cars, I cannot recall one which bottoms on the bumps so often and which clearly moves laterally (particularly at the rear) over some bumps, requiring a quick steering correction. I don't feel comfortable about controlling the vehicle at higher speeds.
I took the car into the main dealer and they road tested and put the car on ramps to check. They agreed that the ride is 'roly-poly' and bottoms, but say that this is normal for these cars; also they assured me there are no leaks or obvious malfunction of the suspension. I then wrote to Citroen UK and received a courteous reply, but they state there has been '”no undue level of criticism from their customers or dealer network on this matter.” Have you any comments on this?

It's probably due to the weird shape of the car, that looks as if it's
about to trip over its front wheels. Too much weight at the front would make the back light and explain what you are experiencing. Try it with a bag of sand in the boot. Or a full fuel tank.
