A tension seeker
I bought a Toro mower with a TUD 5 diesel that had broken a timing belt and bent a few valves. I got a new head from the UK and put all back together with great results. However, after two seasons of running the engine I worry about the timing belt failing again due to incorrect tensioning of the belt. Can you supply the correct tensioning procedure for a backyard mechanic?

Sorry, I don't do any DIY mechanics. I was a trader and have no more than a trader's knowledge of them. But you could try posting in Technical Matters in the Backroom at www.honestjohn.co.uk
