Revolvo?

My daughter returns from a lengthy stay in Bangkok with her family, as her husband now has a job in Luton. He will have a company car and she needs one for herself. She has 3 boys, 10, 7 and 8 months. In Bangkok she has been driving a Honda Jazz whilst her husband has had a Honda CR-V not the present model. The Jazz is too small, she feels, and she does not wish to have a 4-wheel drive. It seems that the CR-V was expensive to run in Thailand. Years back with just two boys she had a Volvo V40, which she liked but the V50 now seems too small. Her budget is between £15,000 and £20,000 and she is prepared to consider a low mileage second-hand car as well as new. She would be looking for reliability and reasonably low running costs. I am unsure of annual mileage, say 8k to 10k, but many journeys would be school runs of, say 12 miles in total.

8k to 10k miles a year does not need a diesel. Maybe a Honda FR-V 2.0i or 1.8i might suit her. That's a 3 + 3, but a bit wide. I am very excited about the new Citroen C3 Picasso, with petrol or diesel engines. That's bigger than the Honda Jazz, but not too big. See road test and video test at hjuk and telegraph motoring.
