Newsed cars

What sort of percentage reduction would you expect on a car pre-registered by a dealer? For example, I am currently looking at a Mazda R-8 and a Honda Type R, both of which are ‘new’ but have been registered in Feb on a 58 Plate. I realise that other factors also affect price but can you say how you would expect this factor in isolation to reduce a cars value?

What you can get depends on what sort of incentive was provided by the manufacturer to persuade the dealer to register the cars. But a pre-reg is a second-hand car and a buyer should treat it as one, definitely not paying more than 80% of the list price.
