Canada try
I'm emigrating to Nova Scotia, Canada, and will be looking to buy a cheapish second-hand pick up or SUV. Should I go for North American (V6, V8?) muscle and cheap parts? Or Japanese reliability and expensive parts? Any recommendation on Make and Model?

Most medium size pick-ups are built in Thailand, not Japan. I know. I've bought a few. If going diesel, the best are currently the 2.5 and 3.0 I-TEQ 4-cylinder engines fitted to the identical Isuzu D-Max and Chevrolet Colorado. They are more economical than the others and are bulletproof chain cam rather than belt cam.
