Glym reapers

We are soon to purchase a new Mark VI Golf TSI. What is your opinion of protecting the car with Auto Gleam LifeShine? In your opinion does it do what it says on the box and is it worth the cost to have it done?

I have it on my FIAT 500, but I got hold of a dealer pack. It's a bit thicker than the Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection you can buy from Halfords for £20. But you do need to take the aftercare pack and re-apply it once a year. How much it costs depends on whether or nor the dealer supplies the aftercare pack and how much margin he puts on it. Up to £200 would be reasonable, including the aftercare pack, as that gives the dealer about £140 to apply it and take his profit. More than £200 is pure profit or salesman's commission.
