Autocratic transmission

The treatment I am receiving from my local Audi dealer is unbelievable. I noticed that my 2002 Audi A4 TDi sport saloon car was not driving smoothly, and I took it to the dealership. Tests and assessments revealed faults in the Multitronic transmission gearbox system. The recommendation was to have this replaced by an updated version of a 7-plate Multitronic transmission, at an astronomical cost of £3,560. The car has only done 75,000 miles has always been serviced by the dealer from new. I asked for a contribution from Audi and I was denied this, and felt this was unfair and unjust. The reason given was my car was out of warranty and was more that 4 years old. I would like to believe your advice and so can you work with me on this John or can I ask you to liaise with Audi dealership over this matter, please?

That's because your car is now SEVEN years old, at the end of its design life. But there is a simpler way to replace the 6-plate clutch with a 7-plater as greatly reduced cost by utilising the existing shaft. Take it to an independent VAG specialist, or a member of www.fedauto.co.uk
