We're trying to reject a brand new car under the Consumer Rights Act. Do you think this will work?
We recently collected a new Ford Fiesta from a Ford dealership. On the drive home, an engine warning light appeared on the dashboard with the message "low oil pressure". We stopped driving and called the dealership immediately who told us to call Ford Assist and have the car recovered back to the dealership, which we did. Three days later, we were contacted by the dealership who stated the car needed parts to be ordered from Germany and we would have the car back in a week. Our intention is to reject the car under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Do you think we'll be successful? Thanks. Best regards.

First complaint of this type we've had for the latest Fiesta - I shall record your experience in the good/bad section of our review: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/ford/fiesta-2017/goo.../
Reject the car. It's ridiculous that the dealer expects you to wait for the car to be repaired. Tell them you want a refund or a replacement vehicle. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the right to reject the car if any fault is found within the first 30 days. For your legal rights, see: www.honestjohn.co.uk/how-to-reject-a-car-your-cons...s
