Return from Neverland
My wife and I are returning to the UK after 27 years in The Netherlands. We expect to move in July 2009. The pound is so low and there are so many discounts available that I intend to buy 2 new cars in the next few weeks. So far the best prices I can get are from the search tool on the Motoring Telegraph website (UK Car Discount and Autofinders offer the best deals so far). Dealers I have called for a price on a Honda CRV EX 2.0 iVTEC are £1,000-£2,000 more expensive. However, I am slightly wary about buying on the Internet. Should I be worried or is this now the norm in the UK? Do I get something by buying from a dealer near where we plan to live that makes it worth paying the extra? Your advice would be much appreciated.

The best broker I know of is www.drivethedeal.com Not cheapest for everything, but by far the most reliable, a recommendation regularly verified by readers. Buy as soon as possible, before the 40% devaluation of Sterling feeds through to heavily increased UK prices.
