Shrinking violet

Car novice here. I'm closing in on my decision regarding a new car. Looks like it's going to be the Hyundai i10 1.2 litre. I just wanted to know your reasons for choosing this as the 'best small car' above say the new Fiesta or the new Jazz etc. I've test-driven quite a few cars, the 1.1 i10, both Jazz engines in the old model, the Mazda 2. The Hyundai is by far the car with the most oomph at lower revs, which is why I like it. It's such a big decision, as it'll be the first car I've bought myself. Thanks for your excellent site.

I wrote “best little car”. The i10 is a size down from the Fiesta and Jazz. But first, it's cheap. Second, it's all-new technology. State of the art, low-emission silent-chain-cam engine. Third, all the reasons in the road test. Plus extras like rear disc brakes. No other small car I know of has rear discs. And the clincher is the 5-year warranty.
