Hire levels

I am going to be in Scotland for the next 10 or 11 weeks. The cheapest car rental I could find is over £1,500. Should I try to buy and re-sell, or are there places that rent older cars more cheaply? I have hired a car for one week starting tomorrow but would like to get something arranged for the rest of my stay. In Mallorca I drive a Citroen Saxo 1.6VTS which I enjoy but I am happy to have anything reasonably safe and suitable for motorway as well as town driving and reliable (I am a retired single woman). I will be most grateful for any advice you can give me.

www.cargiant.co.uk is the sort of car site you should be looking at if thinking of buying. Alternatively, both buy and sell using www.sure-sell.info . But, of course, you also have to add the cost of insurance, and that might be very heavy. Enterprise Car Hire may be more reasonable, as might Practical Car Hire.
