Strange Rover

Three weeks ago I bought from a main Land Rover dealership, 150 miles away from where I live, a 3-year-old, 22k mile, one owner Range Rover, for a fair market price. The car had been supplied new by the dealership. There have been a few minor problems. In addition to these few minor problems, 4 days later the car would not start. The AA managed to get the car going and informed me that the battery needed replacing which was done FOC to me at a local Land Rover dealership. I asked for a further pre-delivery inspection to be done at this local dealership but the dealer who supplied the car declined, instead sending me copies of reports that actually revealed more minor discrepancies. A couple of days ago the passenger side wiper failed during a bad rainstorm driving from Paris to the South of France. I now have zero confidence in this car. Am I within my rights to return the car to the dealer and obtain a full refund? Possibly some small allowance for mileage. Another problem is that I am not due to return to the UK until the end of next month.

No, I understand your anger, but you are not within your rights. Your rights are here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights And with a car of this value, fighting the dealer means full county court and a legal bill that could exceed £20,000 with no guarantee of success.
