Stirring moss

I own an 8-year-old Mercedes CLK Cabriolet. It has become increasingly difficult to keep the soft top clean even though I have tried different options. The problem appears to be a green moss/fungus that is in the fabric. Any ideas how I overcome this challenge?

Much better second attempt at CLK. Goes well, handles well and is comfortable. Attractive looks.
