Great Exectations
In May 2004 I purchased a new Honda Civic 1.6 Executive automatic and I have so far enjoyed 64,000 miles trouble free motoring. The car is in immaculate condition and has a full Hondacare Service history. I would like to know the make/type autobox fitted to this car and information on CVT and DSG transmissions. Finally, what price could I reasonably expect to ask for this car in a private sale and also a trade-in price against a new car.

It has a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. You can get a similar box in a KIA cee'd, KIA Venga, Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20, Hyundai i30, Nissan Note or Renault Modus. There's quite strong demand for the old Civic 1.6 Exec auto. You should get £5,000.
