I had an accident with a learner - who is liable the instructor or the learner?
I was involved in an accident with learner driver. It was the instructor that dealt with me in terms of insurance details, name, address etc. I was never told the student’s name. A few months on and I get a call asking for a statement because *different name* (I assume the student) is disputing liability. Is this normal?

No, it is not and it would not be the student doing anything. The instructor is legally in charge of the vehicle. Provide the statement for your insurer.
