Ghia change

I want to change my car, a May 2005 Ford Mondeo GHIA Petrol 2.0 litre. In very good condition, it has done 71k miles with FSH and warranty to April 2010 and taxed to March. Having been really pleased with it since purchasing three years ago and the service I receive from my large local Ford Dealer, I want another used "new shape" Mondeo. Ideally a Ghia 2.0 litre petrol with up to 30k miles on the clock about 2 years old is my requirement. Unfortunately I learn that "new shape" used petrol 2.0 litre Ghias seem to be in very short supply. My local Ford dealer has checked my existing car but cannot locate a like replacement in spite of having a number of dealerships nationwide. They promise to keep looking. Please could you advise how my search may be widened and what can I expect to pay for such a car?

They are in short supply and auction prices are far higher than for same age Sierras and Mondeos in the past. See auction reports at www.honestjohn.co.uk Mondeos simply aren't on rental fleets like Fords used to be. There will be more coming off leasing fleets when the model reaches 3 years old. And if there are any on rental fleets, Ford will very sensibly try to release them at the time it thinks they will make the most money, protecting everyone’s investment in the cars.
