I am upset about the way my local Volvo dealer dealt with an ABS fault on my V50. I believe there is an issue with Brake Pressure Sensors. I am £1,000 lighter of pocket, I wish I could say I was wiser. Oh how I wish I was armed with the information I had gleaned by the end of the affair at the beginning.

This is part of a huge problem with Teves Mk 60 ABS/ESP modules, the pressure sensor of which is so buried inside the unit that the while unit needs to be replaced. VAG Golf size cars (Golf V, Leon, Altea, Toledo, Octavia, A3) are most badly afflicted, then BMW 1 Series and 3 Series, and to a lesser extent Volvo S40s and V50s and Mazda 3s (though not the Focus on which they are based). See Car-by-Car breakdown at hjuk.
