Gear today…
I am looking at buying the Peugeot 5008 with an automatic transmission. I'm nervous about the much reduced horsepower compared to the manual gearbox. 110 compared to 150. I drive 40,000 per year and I often have a boot full of tools. What is your experience or feedback? I currently drive a Passat that is automatic and has 135bhp. Am I setting myself up to be disappointed?

The 110 has the EGS, which is an automated manual transmission, not a torque converter automatic. A forthcoming version of the 5008 with a proper 6-speed torque converter auto has 163PS. If you want a proper auto, wait for the 163.
