Fuelling discontent
I have recently purchased a 2009 Audi A3 TDI 3-door 1.9 diesel and have a problem when refuelling. The nozzle of the garage diesel pump is too large to go fully into the opening of the fuel tank. This means I can only hold it partially in, which causes the diesel to froth and back up in the nozzle causing the pump to cut out. Refuelling takes ages whatever garage I use. I would be grateful for your advice on this problem and whether there is a solution.

In that case, the car must have been fitted in production with a petrol
filler, and possibly a petrol tank and is a misbuild. Get it back to your
Audi dealer for the tank and filler to be replaced.
