What is the best car to buy for £1000?

What's the best used car under £1000?

It depends on what you're looking for in a car. A Toyota Yaris would be a sensible, reliable choice, or a Honda Civic if you want something a bit bigger. It's better to buy on condition at this price, though, rather than seeking out a particular model. Buy whatever's local, has a good service history and a long MoT.
