Honda Jazz
Three years ago I bought partly through reading your column a Honda Jazz. It is an ideal second car and the magic seats are very good for golf bags and so on. After 33.000 kilometers however and out of guarantee it has developed leaks in the back doors. The garage throws up their hands and say they have never seen this before. They had a go at repairng the plastic of the inner panels on one side which seemed to work more or less but not perfectly. Now the other door has started to leak. For some reason they obviously do not want to ask Honda if this has ever happened to any other Jazz. They just say these things are very difficult. The car has never been in an accident and is really only used as a shopping and going to golf car. Have you heard of such a fault? What do you suggest I do? Contact Honda direct?

Seems to be quite a common fault. It has been reported to me many times. Possibly failed waterproof membranes inside the doors between the frames and the trims.
