Mercedes C Class 54 plate

I am thinking about buying an approved used C55 AMG. Registered on a 54 plate. Will this car's likely build date escape the corrosion problems that afflicted some early C Class cars? Was MB build quality back to normal by this time?

MB build quality was getting better, but the design and built faults remained in the W203 C Class, so you could be in for trouble.
