Insurance group

My husband has just bought a Peugeot Partner Combi quicksilver 5 door estate 2002. We have been trying to get his insurance company to change from his old car to this new one but they are claiming they can't insure him as his car is a group 20. We looked online at autotrader and it says the car is only group 4, I have rang the insurance and tried to explain this and they said everyone can group them differently. We are very unsure about this and wondering if you could tell us the insurance group of the car as we have just read that things have changed from 1-20 and is now 1-50?

Group 4 in the old 20 groupings, possibly group 20 in the new 50 groupings.
