Does the drink driving endorsement I have on my licence only need to be declared to insurers for five years?
I stupidly got behind the wheel the morning after a night out and was over the limit. I got a DR10, which I declared and paid through the roof for insurance. Is it true that you only have to declare it for up to five years and, if so, could I get out of my policy and try to find a cheaper one as five years will be up in mid-September. I only started my policy three months ago and know I was lucky to even get insured.

Yes and yes. They cannot penalise you by keeping it on record for more than five years, so you can cancel your current policy and try to find a better deal elsewhere.
