Vauxhall Corsa diesel problems

I have a 2004 Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 diesel that i'm a bit worried about. The car suffers from occasional stutter on acceleration in second and third gears. I have also noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust under hard acceleration.

Occasionally, the service engine light comes on but will turn off when I restart the car and it also makes a rattling noise. I had the car fully serviced, but this still happens. I've only had the car for about two months and the dealer I got it from isn't replying to any of my messages.

How worried should I be? I've already spent a lot of money on it fixing a broken EGR pipe, replacing a coil spring and two new tyres.

Sorry, this is a 12 year old car and I really can't tell from here what kind of a state it's in. It has a FIAT 1248cc chain cam Multijet diesel that is generally okay when not saddled with a DPF (and yours isn't). Try a diesel fuel system cleaner additive and switching fuel to Shell V-Power Nitro Plus or BP Ultimate diesel and that might clean it up. Get the rattle checked. May be nothing more than a missing anti-roll bar sleeve bush, but may be more serious.
