Buying a reliable estate - Mondeo or A6?

I am thinking of buying an estate and am interested in the Ford Mondeo and Audi A6 Avant. Apart from the £8000 difference in purchase price, which is the better car?

The Mondeo has been more reliable. And it's also very easy to spend a lot of extra money on extras on the Audi. Actually, the sensible compromise is the stunning new Skoda Superb estate: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/skoda/skoda-superb.../
