Coil failure on Vauxhall Meriva - Should I expect any compensation ?

Can I expect Vauxhall to pay anything towards replacing the coil on my Meriva which has failed after 40,000 miles and four years?

Do you mean an ignition coil or a coil spring? But in either case, worth asking.
