Found a cheap car, but its owner is in the USA

I've seen a KIA Sorento for sale. The car looks to be in great condition, with 64,000 miles on the clock for just £6000. However, there'a catch, the owner is in the USA.

The sale is being dealt with by an agent who says they will delver it to me. Are there any steps I can take to protect myself?

That is extremely, temptingly cheap. Might be genuine, but this is how scams work. If it's too good to be true it usually isn't.
