Buying a new mid-range car - what do you recommend

It's time to change my five yearvold BMW 116d Sport and I can't afford a new one. I'm looking at a Seat Leon or Kia Cee'd. Budget is up to £18,000, including part exchange on BMW. Which would you recommend and which model?

The cee'd will inevitably be the most reliable. The SEAT will be a bit better to drive.
