What are the legal speeds for lorries?
When the legal speed for lorries is `governed` at 56mph, why are the supermarket lorries allowed to slow down the traffic on single lane `A` roads?
I find it really frustrating by only doing 40mph, supposedly `helping the environment`...

Unfortunately because the 'A' road (single carriageway) limit for all HGVs is 40mph. There are arguments for it to be raised when the vehicles are unladen. But 40 tonnes descending a hill at 60mph would not be stoppable.
