Should I buy a used Volvo S60?

I have been offered a Volvo S60 D5 auto with 175 000 miles on the clock and full service history for £1400. The owner spent a small fortune at 150 000 replacing the head, timing belt ,water pump driveshaft and lower arms. Is it worth the risk?

Not especially reliable, but £1400 is pocket money so you can afford to take the chance.
