Faulty Audi A8 - can I sue the private seller?
I bought an Audi A8 with a fresh MoT recently, but the bakes seized up on the way home. I called the guy I bought the car from and he fobbed me off with “sold as seen”. I contacted the MoT station and they said the car was fine when they tested it.
What can I do? Can I sue the private seller I bought the car from?

You have to get it fixed. So get it fixed then attempt to sue the vendor for breach of contract and for selling you a car in an unroadworthy condition rendering him liable to pay the rectification costs. Tell the vendor this is what you propose to do and he might simply give you your money back.
