Which SUV to replace my Suzuki SX4?

Five years ago I bought a Suzuki SX4 and it's time for a change. I would like something similar to the SX4; a 1.6-litre automatic hatchback, reasonably high off the road so that it's easy to get into and out of. Any suggestions?

The newer SX4 1.6 SZ4 automatic front wheel drive has the much-improved 1.6-litre petrol engine. Alternatives include the Hyundai ix20 1.6 or a KIA Venga 1.6 (which are essentially the same car with automatic gearboxes, upright seats and very good visibility). Nissan Note automatics are getting a bit old now and will be replaced by a new model next year.

There's also the Ford B-Max 1.6 Powershift, which is a bit expensive starting at £17,250 but www.drivethedeal.com can do them at substantial discounts. Road tested here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ford/ford-b-max-20.../
