What's best for value - Civic, Focus or Mazda 3?

I have a 2006 Honda Civic 1.8 i-Shift, which has 24,300 miles on the clock. I am now looking to trade it in and am considering the automatic version of the new Civic, the Ford Focus Zetec Powershift and the Mazda 3 Activematic. Which car will give me the most value?

You're looking at about £5500 for the Civic. The Mazda 3 TS2 1.6 4-speed Activematic lists at £16,325. The cheapest Focus 1.6 125PS Powershift lists at £17,560. The cheapest Civic 1.8 5-speed auto lists at £19,195.

I think you're most likely to do a deal on the Mazda. It isn't a powerful car, but power is adequate, and it's very good looking.
