What's the correct wheel size for my Honda CRV?

I have a query on wheel sizes for my 2002 Honda CR-V. I bought the car with a set of four 16-inch alloys, fitted with 205/55-16 Michelins. From a technical standpoint, these are the wrong size as they should be 205x70/15 OE fit?

From a financial POV, replacing with OE Honda CR-V alloys will be expensive, even with used ones. What's my best solution? Will running on the 16-inch wheels adversely affect the car in any way, or should I not worry about it?

The rolling circumference won't be far off and the car will handle better on 205/55 R16s than it will on 205/70 R15s. They are not too low profile. And this model of CR-V, whole very practical and reliable, was never much of a handler, so needs all the help it can get. I did a year in a Mazda 5 on this size wheel and tyre and it was excellent.
