My premium has gone up after failing to disclose an offence.

Failed to tell the insurance company about a TS10 'Failing to stop at traffic lights.'

Now I have had an accident and they are trying to void my insurance. I was not trying to avoid paying a higher premium as I am fifty four and the premium would not have gone up that much, as I have had a clean licence all my life. What can I do?

Not a lot. You are in breach of the terms of your insurance contract for a non-disclosure, even though you insurer probably knew about it anyway.
