Winter tyres for an Audi TT?

I have an Audi TT quattro on 245/40 R18 tyres and it is now time to order winter tyres.

What size and make of winter tyre would you recommend for my car?

If you stick to 18" wheels then the tyres have to be the same size. If you go down to 16" the size is probably 205/55 R16.
