Hot Starting Problem on a Volkswagen Golf

No problems for the 1st 105,000 kms. For 5,000km have had a hot starting problem; replaced fuel filter and ECT sensor; diagnostics indicate no problem. Now found a work around - car does start hot if throttle is floored. Any ideas re the underlying problem?

Well given that you have no fault codes and what you have changed already, we would suggest that you look at:

1. Fuel Pump Lift relay
2. Air Filter condition
3. ECU wiring/connections
4. Injectors
5. ECU programmimg
