Used Audi with a dodgy history

In Jan I bought a Used Audi which I sourced through the Audi website as it claimed that all vehicles have a service history check and will have a clean completely transparent record.

I have no complaints about the car but 6 months later with just 2k more miles on the clock I no longer required it so tried to sell it only to discover that there was no engine number on the V5C and that it was not a UK supplied car and had been used in Cyprus!

I also discovered that despite being just over 2 years old that there was only a duplicate service book and no registration showing which car it referred to. I called the garage that was stamped in the service book who said they had no knowledge of said vehicle.

I have been offered far less for this car because of this. Do I have a legal claim against either Audi UK or the Audi Dealer ( In Scotland!)

I feel this makes a mockery of the so called Audi Approved Used Car Programme.

Yes, your claims is against the dealer that sold you the car, not against Audi. The claim is for misrepresentation and may also be a criminal offence.
