Smart Car Keys Repairs

Smart agent quoted £220 for new key & required two 80 mile round trips to verify details, order key and return to have key programmed. www.keyfobrepair.co.uk quoted £19.50 to replace the three micro switches & battery plus £4.25 for new front cover. Very prompt service by registered post. It seems that 90% of Smart key problems are the switches or battery. Most important as the only means of access to a Smart is via the electronic key, there is no manual locking. I strongly recommend this little company. Run by Crescent Radio,21c Green Lane, London, N13 4TT.

Many thanks. It gets a lot of recommendations. I send this standard email out around six times every day:

Try a branch of Timpsons in the High Street, side street or in a Shopping
Mall.

No joy there, links to keys and locksmiths in this directory:

The first two on the list apparently give very good, very fast and very
cheap service.
