Ford Fusion for an elderly driver?

I am looking for a car for my 87 year old mother to potter around in with her disabled brother. I am considering a Ford Fusion 1.4 TDCi Zetec 5 dr, 62,500 miles on the clock. FSH and serviced in April 2012.

I have seen it at a Ford Dealer. Asking price £4695. Your comments for and against this car for her? Apparently the cam belt does not need changing until 100k miles or 10 years whichever sooner.
