Can you recommend new tyres for my 2010 Vauxhall Astra?

I need to replace the four Continental ContiSports Contact3 225/50/R17 94V tyres on my 2010 registered Mark 6 Astra 1.6 SRI turbo (A16LET engine).

You have stated tyre manufacturers offer discount to the car manufacturer to fit expensive tyres in hope owner will replace like for like.

Can you recommend a better/cheaper alternative, I average 12,00 miles a year mostly on motorway.

Tyre manufacturers discount wide, low profile tyres to manufacturers because they more than make that back on selling expensive replacements. That's the reason why so many cares come on inappropriate tyres. It's not the make, it's the profile. Michelins last the longest. For this size Primacy 3.
