Problems with my second hand Zafira

I bought a Zafira 1.6 from my local garage and after three months I have been told that the engine is going to pack in by the RAC, due to severe oil usage.

I bought the car 'sold has seen' but the next day it had to go back because the starter motor packed up, then other things started to go wrong and then eventually was told that the engine is knackered.

Do I have the right to take it back to the garage and complain about this or have I been had?

Assuming you paid £2,000 or more the garage is liable. less than £2,000, more debatable because it could be argued that you knowingly bought a car close to the end of its life. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
