How can I stop CP Plus car parking enforcement from harassing me?

Sorry to keep e-mailing you with this, but I'm still receiving threatening letters from CP Plus regarding my parking fine. This one is informing me that the fine is now £120 and there is legal action pending, not to mention my credit rating being affected. As someone who always pays on the dot I'm getting a little twitchy. Do you have any examples of success stories or any further advice of how to get rid of them?

Get a solicitor to write to them threatening prosecution for harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 and stating that if they want to sue you for breach of contract they must first of all prove that contract exists and secondly must prove the amount they want is "reasonable". And they must do that in a court convenient to you, with adequate warning to you of the date of the hearing. FAQ at: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/parking-fines
