Diesel pump failure on a SAAB 9-3

I am new to your website that came recommended from a friend.

I own a Saab 93 2.2 TID and i have been having issues with the car over the last week. Whilst driving something flew off the back of a trailer and thumped the underside of my car at the front. I had an AA mechanic check the car and his diagnosis was crank shaft sensor. I replaced this the car worked.

Then the car failed less than 3 hours later, this time EGR Valve malfunction. Again, I replaced this and the car was fine for about 20 miles.

I decided to put this into a Saab dealership to check and i have now been informed the the diesel pump/ecu has failed and this will cost me £2300 plus!

The car is a 2004 plate with 93,000 on the clock. Do you think this is the case with the pump as when the car was driving there was never any cut out, never stalled.

This has been a great car I'm just so gutted that one object hitting under my car has caused so much damage. Can you recomend anywhere in the UK who specialises in repairing the ECU (as Saab has informed me the issue is the cam sensor in the ecu unit built on top of the pump).
