Tax disk placement

I've just picked up my Nissan Juke and have placed my Tax Disc on the left hand windscreen top corner.

As I am not tall, the high position gives the best option for me, where it doesn't interfere at all with my visibility. The classic position (low down) gets right in my eye line.

I have been told (by a member of the public) that my disc placement is illegal.

I don't believe that it is, but would welcome your advice.

Better to put it at the bottom corner where it is expected to be. Why make trouble for yourself?
