Mazda 3 2.2 Diesel DPF problems?

I was quite tempted in buying a 185 2.2 diesel engined Mazda 3 as I fancied something with a bit more power than my 1.6 crdi Hyundai i30. Do these suffer with diesel being dumped in the oil sump by incomplete DPF regeneration?

I read a review by one chap and was amazed when he said theres an x on the oil dipstick for rising oil level. Is this a problem with this engine?

It can be if the car is not driven far enough. I was driving facelifts of both the 1.6 diesel and the 2.0 litre diesel yesterday. I reckon, though it's belt cam, the 1.6 diesel works better. Absolutely no DPF problems in 7,000 miles in my Mazda 5 1.6 diesel
