Car parking charges

I am being pursued for what now is £120 for overstaying my allotted time in Roadchef's car park at Maidstone. I was tired and needed a break after a 420 mile journey through France, a ferry crossing and the drive to Maidstone all within 12 hours.

I saw no signs and I do not know what they say, and Road chef will not tell me.
My stop time was just over 5 hours

I have offered CP plus £10 for a minor breach on my part. This was not acceptable They now threaten 'collection agent' or court action. They say that my parking on private land does not prevent them pursuing the charge and that they will escalate accordingly!

Tell them to take you to court for it. And if they do you will take up your case with the Minister for Transport because the Government tells motorists that "Tiredness Kills. Take a Break". Yet the operators of Motorway Services are penalising motorists for following government instructions.
