Winter tyres for Ford Focus?

I've a Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec 2002 and I drive 5-6000 miles a year. With the hard winter ahead, any advice on best winter tyres to fit? Also your thoughts on reduced insurance premiums.

195/65 R15 Michelin Alpins on standard 15" Focus wheels. If too expensive, see what the tyre dealers have got. Kwik Fit is currently offering 25% off all tyres including winter tyres.
